I made the paper!

Ciaran made it first, now mom follows. We went to a fab party full of yummy cocktails and some "American" food (I'm hoping the chili was made with cow, not buffalo, but alas, I'll never know). We partied til midnight and even took conference calls in-between. I'm hoping I make You & I (that's the real deal for expats and fame, ha!)

Animal Day at ISH

Saoirse's Reception class had "Animal Day" on January 9. Here's a class photo or our "cat" and her classmates. Theo "the shark" has very creative parents as you can see.

Hip hip hooray it's Christmas vacation!

First it was Phuket, then the airports shut down and the airline was useless to help us. So we sucked it up and went to Bali. I know of all the places! Well, turns out it was wonderful, so much so that I don't regret booking a six week stay in a surfer villa this summer :)

We stayed at the Westin Resort Nusa Dua thanks to all the Starwood points James collected while commuting from Boca to DC last fall. It was a great way to spend Christmas and get a tan to boot. The kids had fun finally getting back to the ocean, practicing their swimming in the pool and helping themselves to the endless refills of apple juice, coke and sprite. Oh there was a fun evening at the Japanese tempenyaki (sp?) restaurant -- the waitress made sure they ate their rice and cleaned their plates before they could have ice cream.

Now that we're back in India so has begun James and my bet on who can lose 20 lbs. by St. Paddy's Day. We're not sure of the prize, but we're slowly starting our resolution on seeing who can go without beer the longest as well. Ugh, I feel withdrawl symptoms already.

But my parents are coming in a few days and soon there'll be many new posts on how that goes. I think we can add India vs. the Callahans as well.

Bollywood High-Tea at the Taj Krishna

Ciaran and Emma Carrington, future DWTS contestants or extras in a Bollywood movie.

Saoirse and her friend Nina pouting on the sidelines.

Two trouble makers -- Saoirse and Ruby.

James sporting his new "kurta." We all had to wear Indian dress.

We were all invited to Ann and Dave Clark's going away party and 4th birthday for their daughter, Aquira, seated above with Ciaran. It was quite the Sunday afternoon -- at the Taj Krishna sporting Indian garb and getting the traditional henna tattoos (the correct name escapes me). Ciaran was quite the dancer -- following the instruction of the Bollywood teacher and then later, he and Emma put on a show with their ballroom-esque performance. Very fun indeed.

Field Day at ISH

Ciaran and Stella face off.

Saoirse couldn't leave her snack.

Racing around the cones.

Ciaran and pal Sophia.

Saoirse warming up before her races.

December 5, 2008

I think the moms did more running than the kids in the Reception Field Day. It was a mad dash between both sides of the field to take photos of Saoirse and Ciaran and at the same time distracting Saoirse from the playground. It appears they had fun, at the very least they all enjoyed snack time.

More photos from Halloween

Two pics from a Halloween party Saoirse went to at her friend Riley's house. Our nanny, Karmaleen took her and helped her decorate her Indian pumpkin :)

Thanks Madeleine for the photos!

Ciaran made the paper!

This is a few weeks late only because I finally figured out how to save the scanned photo to the Mac. Anyway, this is the only photo that I have of him in his Capt. Hook costume. At least he wore it!
